The last step in processing your rental application is a review of your credit reports and a background check.
We use Experian Connect for that. With that service, we do not need your social security numbers, although they may request them to verify your identity.
You will receive an email from Experian Connect asking for you to grant me access to your credit report for a limited time. It will also ask you to pay a nominal fee (I think about $20) for the service.
Assuming that your credit and background profiles are OK, that will be the last step before signing a lease.
